Welcome to the Monroe/Ouachita Parish NAACP Branch #6068. Our goal is to serve the community and provide you with timely information regarding the status of civil rights in Ouachita Parish and the nation. The Monroe/Ouachita Parish NAACP Branch is committed to equality and justice for all. We believe that “Equality is the Right of Every Citizen!”
The NAACP, founded in 1909, is the oldest and most effective civil rights organization in the country and will continue the fight for freedom until all people have realized the equal hand of justice. The Monroe/Ouachita Parish Branch was founded in 1932 with the same goals and commitment.
We trust this site will be informative and of value to all of our citizens. We ask you to join us in this continuing struggle for equality for all by becoming a dues paying member, attending our meetings and joining a committee to make sure the Monroe/Ouachita Parish NAACP Branch remains relevant and strong in our quest for justice. Our branch is only as strong as the membership that support us.
